6 Easy Steps to Create An App Like HelloFresh
Do you want to make your own HelloFresh app? To do this, just follow the easy steps shown below.
Step 1: Make Sure Your Idea To Create An app Like HelloFresh Is Strong
Researching the market is the first thing you should do. Even though the numbers show that this business can make billions of dollars, you need to know that only a few companies have a huge part of the food delivery market.
DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub control 97% of the food delivery business as of the first quarter of 2022. Brands that aren’t well-known get less than 1% of supplies.
This is not intended to depress you. But you need to be honest with yourself about what you can realistically achieve. You have a lot of work to do if you want your app to be as good as HelloFresh.
Lucky for us, there’s still a lot of small-scale money to be made in this area. For example, you can meet the growing demand for fresh, easy-to-use, pre-portioned meals by making a meal kit delivery app like HelloFresh.
By making an app like HelloFresh for your business, you can cut out the middleman and the fees that other meal delivery services charge for third parties.
Step 2: Pick The Way You Want To Build
Once you know that people want your HelloFresh-style mobile app, you can start making it. As a general rule, these are your choices:
Hire an app maker
Use a DIY app maker to make it yourself.
For development, use your tools.
Use an app creation company as a service
Likely, most companies that bring meals don’t have an IT team. That way, you can quickly rule out the third choice. Both hiring a developer and giving your job to an outside company cost a lot of money. If you want something that won’t break the bank, neither of those will work well for you.
That leaves the second option, which is to make it yourself with an app maker. For most of you reading this guide right now, an app builder will be the best choice. By adding simple plug-and-play features, companies likeAppic Softwaresmake it easy for anyone to make an app that delivers meal kits.
Step 3: Choose A Business Model To Create An App Like Hello Fresh
Different meal delivery apps work in different ways, and there are several ways to make money with a plan for an app like HelloFresh.
Delivery services: You make an app and a business that delivers food to users and the meal prep company. For meal kit services, these models charge a fee to use the platform and take a cut of every sale.
Third-party facilitator: This model is similar to the first one in that the app connects people who want to order food with people who can bring it. However, all of the deliveries are handled by a third party. The food isn’t touched by you; you’re just running an app as a service.
Direct meal kit delivery apps: These are used by companies that have their meal kit apps that resemble HelloFresh. There are people inside the company who run the tools and fill orders.
Most of the time, the first two models make money by charging companies to be featured, charging for delivery, or taking a cut of every sale. In the third plan, customers pay for each meal kit that is sent to them.
Step 4: Choose The Features You Want
Every app, like HelloFresh, has similar features, but you should know what you want before building it. For example:
A method for choosing meals that lets people choose from a list of meal kits that changes over time.
Having the option to make meals fit your needs, like veggie, gluten-free, or low-carb diets.
Subscription management lets you choose how often deliveries happen.
Adding payments and keeping track of orders.
When making an app, it’s easy to get sidetracked, so it’s important to stay focused on the core features that will make your HelloFresh-style app work for your business.
Step 5: Development And Design
For an app like HelloFresh, this step is where most of your work will go. The way you create something will depend on the development model you chose in step 2.
The design procedure will be simple if you choose to use a do-it-yourself app developer.
Step 6: Market And Launch
The last step is to launch your app like HelloFresh. Get it live on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store to reach as many potential users as possible.
Give people something useful, like a discount on their first meal kit delivery, to get them to try your app early. Spread the word about your app on your website, social media, and in bulk emails to get people to download it.
