What memories do you have of when you were in school? There is a teacher who teaches the kids ideas and facts. Some kids pay close attention in class, while others use the time to do something else until the bell rings. Textbooks and other printed products are used to help people learn.
Digital technology was slowly added to the ways that schools teach, learn, and test students.
This trend sped up because of the COVID-19 outbreak, which also caused a big shift toward online learning. School and college systems all over the world had to switch to e-learning during lockdowns.
By this time, adults were downloading educational apps to pass the time and avoid being bored at home.
Do you have a great idea that will make it easier for teachers to teach students from afar, help people reach their new educational goals, or help young children learn new things?
Tell all your friends and family about it. Now that COVID is over, education needs new ways of doing things. Like a lot of new businesses have been doing today. Abwaab is one of them.
We’ll learn how to make an EdTech app like Abwaab and everything that goes with it in this piece. But first, let’s go over the basics again.
What does EdTech mean?
Educational technology is what EdTech stands for. It’s how tools are used to help with learning. These systems can send text messages and written messages in several different content forms. They can be shown in many ways, such as through pictures, cartoons, audio and video recordings, computer-based learning, the internet, and teaching software.
Edtech includes many different parts of the way we teach. One of its main ideas is to set up collaborative learning spaces where teachers from all over the world can help teach, show, and teach students or adults who are working.
Data on the Market
Since the first quarter of 2020, the number of downloads of teaching apps has gone up by a huge amount around the world. For instance, Google Play said that 466 million educational apps were downloaded from its site, and the App Store said that 470 million educational apps as per reports.
This was the most teaching app ever downloaded on both platforms. People liked YouTube Kids and Google Classroom the most. There were, however, a lot of companies that jumped at the chance to make money off of their educational software products.
Can you still work in educational technology now, or is it too late? No, because there is a big need for schooling. Market study shows that the global EdTech market will grow from $89.07 billion in 2020 to $285.23 billion in 2027. Six billion dollars will likely be spent on AI in schooling by the year 2025.
It’s too bad you can’t have this pie. Remember that new goods need to be truly unique to stand out and compete with big names in the industry; they need to fill needs that aren’t being met and solve problems that haven’t been solved.
what is Abwaab?
Abwaab is a space for learning online that opened in 2019. Students can learn whenever and wherever they want, test themselves, and move forward with the help of our professional teachers.
By giving students short, interesting video classes, visualized learning journeys, ongoing evaluation, and performance analytics, they are changing how students learn outside of school.
A lot of money is spent on making the best material for our students, like interesting video animations and solid question banks. To make sure they only give you the best, every piece of content they make goes through a strict process of quality analysis and audit by experts in the field.
They are currently in charge of the Jordanian state curriculum for grades 7 through 12. Some of the topics that are taught are English, Arabic, math, biology, chemistry, and physics.
What EdTech Did During COVID-19
After lockdowns, all schools and colleges had to switch to an online setting for learning. Digital tools had to be used in the teaching, learning, and assignment processes. The COVID-19 virus kept the EdTech platform from going downhill. This made the method better and led to a big change toward e-learning.
In the first quarter of 2020, the number of downloads of teaching apps around the world went through the roof. In this case, 470 million and 466 million educational apps were downloaded from the App Store and Google Play, respectively. Some of the most downloaded apps were Google Classroom and YouTube Kids.
What caused this sudden rise? The COVID-19 outbreak, which changed the way people usually learn, was the main reason for it. It seems to show that studying with apps is slowly becoming more common.
It made EdTech companies aware of this need in the market, and they are now starting to meet it by making apps for the education industry.
The Good Things About an EdTech App Like Abwaab
“Edtech,” which stands for “education technology,” is the process of giving or making computer tools for learning.
This can include anything from turning textbooks and virtual classes into digital files to making sure that each user has a unique learning app. EdTech is better than traditional ways of teaching in several ways, such as:
Different ways to learn
There are fun, game-like learning experiences on mobile apps that might motivate students to study more and see the world in a new way.
Being flexible
With online classes, students can study at their own pace and from anywhere. Edtech apps are even more useful because they let people learn while they’re on the go.
There are good study materials in educational apps. An app can help students who have trouble finding and organizing their textbooks, papers, and other study materials.
How well conversation works
EdTech tools can help teachers and parents get along better, as well as students’ schools and tutors.
How much something costs
If the price of an online course is the same as a regular one, it saves you a lot of money on gas and hotel costs.
Different kinds of edtech apps

How do you make an app like Abwaab that helps with schoolwork?
1. Picked out what you want to sell
Even when talking about the education industry, there is a lot more to look into.
It will probably be hard for everyone to find all of the different types of educational apps and ideas that are out there.
Because of this, it will be much easier for you to choose what features and functions you want in your app once you know what you want to offer. In this way, you can move forward with making useful training software.
So if you want to make an app for learning a language, you should focus on combining different languages while thinking about how students and trainees would use it. As a result, plan the features so that they include short quizzes, short films or tutorials, short audio clips, and short tasks.
As you go along, think about how the application looks and feels. You also need to know who your target audience is, because the functions and look of your app should interest them. Following this, we will talk about how to find your target market and do a competitive study.
2. Find out about the market.
Given that you are a business, you would not risk a lot of money on something. Because of this, you should study the market before you start making an instructional app.
Why do you need to study before making an application?
- to find out what people who want your things want.
- being aware of the problems your customers are having
- a good training program for the people you want to reach
- to find out how your program will help your business run more smoothly
- to figure out the ways to make money and understand the ways to make money
- To make present strategies better and spot market trends.
The process of making an app should start with study somehow.
- Search app stores to find apps that are like the idea you have for a teaching app.
- Read reviews of these apps to get an idea of what your target audience wants.
- Look for gaps and mistakes that your competitors have made.
- Hire a market research company with a good reputation.
- One more thing you need to do to make sure your education mobile app stays on the market: do a SWOT analysis of your app idea.
Once these two rounds of app creation are over, you can pick and choose which features to add to your mobile school app. Now let’s look at step three.
3. Choose the features you want to include.
To choose the features for your app, you should know exactly what you are willing to offer potential students. You can also read the most important comments about teaching apps in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
In an app’s comment box, users often write down their thoughts and ideas for how it should work. You could even make a poll and ask people who might buy from you to vote on which features they want to see.
These are some of the most cutting-edge features of the school program we shared with you. The newest changes in education were taken into account when making this list.
New Features for Educational Apps
- Materials with sound and pictures
- Classes and workshops in real time
- Internet-based shows
- 3-D lessons and learning through games
- Making use of push alerts
- Talks in the app and group chat
- Routine exercise and study
- Capture the screen
- Dashboard for parents and kids
- Keep an eye on growth and accomplishments
4. Draw up a growth plan.
Have you chosen whether to make your app for iOS or Android yet? Or would you like to learn about cross-platform coding, which means making one piece of software that works on many platforms?
Picking the right platform is important for the success of your app in the online schooling market. At the moment, about 2 billion people use Google’s Android.
Not what you might have thought: iOS has more than half of the smartphone market share in the USA, even though Android has more people.
In this case, you might want to make your educational app work on both iOS and Android. You could also choose cross-platform mobile app creation.
When picking an app creation platform, here are some things to think about:
- Location in the world
- Time to make an app
- How complicated growth is
If you’re still not sure, you can hire a mobile app development business. They will give you advice on how to choose the best platform for your app and help you create it the way you want.
5. Hire a company that makes apps.
Once you’ve decided on all the important factors, you need to find a trustworthy company that makes educational apps. Without question, this is one of the most important parts of making an app.
As a business owner, you wouldn’t want to risk the quality of your app by working with a new company or a developer who hasn’t made educational mobile apps before.
You can find a skilled team of developers on Clutch, GoodTroopers, and Toptal, though. Before hiring developers or companies to meet your business needs, look at their websites or samples and see all of the work they’ve done before.

Ideas for business plans that you can use for your edtech app
To get known as an EdTech business and compete with your peers, you can start by giving people free trials of your app. Once your app gets more users, you can offer a more complicated plan. Entrepreneurs like this model because it helps them build trust in their business and become niche leaders over time.
When the trial time is over, users can stop using your app, delete it, or change their plan. Your loyal customers will stay with you as long as you give them good service. This means that customers won’t have to pay until they use the app and then join. You should charge a small one-time fee for your main plan and then raise the price after that.
When developers offer educational material on the EdTech Marketplace platform, they can make money and get a cut of the money that developers make. The EdTech industry is well-known for this reason, but you need to have the right skills to work in it.

Communication, business, management, personality development, and other professional skills are covered in a range of classes. There are also academic, technical, and ethical hacking courses.
A normal business plan that works from the top down. The idea for the business is very easy. All you have to do is show your training modules to private businesses, universities, colleges, and schools.
The institutional method, on the other hand, has a bigger effect on businesses than on people. But for this strategy to work, it might take a lot of people to do the preliminary study and go to all the schools and organizations.
- Business-to-Business Sales
If you work in B2B sales or organization management, you know that sales in organizations or B2B also work from the top down. If you go this way, you will have to pitch or sell your product to people who make decisions in big companies.
It usually lasts for a set amount of time and comes with a renewal deal at the end of the year. By using this plan, you will get two benefits. You will be given tasks to do to make money right away and long-term partnerships to make great content first.
