Top App Development Trends for On-Demand App
1. Google Play Instant Apps
Even though quick Android apps aren’t very common, their popularity is growing slowly but surely. Android Instant App gives software developers the Android Instant Apps SDK and App Links Assistant, which lets them build mobile solutions from scratch or turn existing apps into Instant Apps.
A good example of this kind of app is the Instant app, which lets the user try out different games on the app without having to run that app on the device. Cool, right? The good thing about these apps is that they work on all kinds of devices, don’t take up much room on your device, and are easy to use.
Instant apps are the way of the future and are one of the biggest trends in mobile app creation. They let users use apps without taking up too much space on their phones. This is the technology that is meant to help a lot and get more industries, like eCommerce and games, to use it, so that it can be one of the top Android app development trends.
2. Jetpack Navigation
Navigation is the term for the different ways a user can move around in an app’s different sections and pieces of material. Android jetpacks come with useful navigation parts that make it easier for makers to set up navigation. The effects could be as simple as a button that you click or as complicated as a menu drawer.
Another benefit of the navigation component is that it allows developers to make sure that the user experience is uniform and predictable by following the navigation principles.
3. Blockchain
Blockchain technology has been talked about for a long time, but now it is being used. It provides decentralized app developers with improved resources to develop open, secure apps that do not permit unauthorized use.
The market for blockchain technology is expected to reach Decentralized apps, or Dapps, which are software programs that run transactions on the blockchain and are built on smart contracts. Anyone can use these apps because they are open-source. The data in these apps can’t be changed or erased because they run on a decentralized blockchain. These apps are the future of mobile app creation. They let you pay faster, keep
better records of your data, and can’t be changed.
With the help of blockchain technology, a company that makes Android apps can maintain strong security measures. This feature is quickly becoming popular in Android software, especially in financial app development areas like currency exchanges, banks, and many more.
4. Google’s Chatbot And Assistant
In the next few years, a lot of business owners will want to connect their app services to Google Assistant. The main benefit of investing in this kind of connection is that it makes it easier for users to get to the app quickly. By using Google app actions, users can get to an app’s deep link, which lets them use the Google Assistant to do certain things inside the app.
At CES 2020, Google said that they would add a new feature to the Google Assistant. With the new “Scheduled Actions” feature, users will be able to talk to smart devices through Google Assistant and do things like turn smart devices on or off, make coffee, etc. This feature will let you handle up to 20 home devices, such as lights, coffee makers, air conditioners, and many more.
5. Making Apps For Multiple Platforms With Flutter
Google has released a new technology called Flutter, which is being called the future of developing apps for Android. Flutter is a framework that works on multiple platforms and makes it easy to make beautiful apps with a single script.
A lot of coders use this platform to create mobile apps because it is flexible. Flutter is a good choice because it is easy to learn, has a native style, and so on.
It is one of the best models for developing products that are just good enough to sell. This means that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on two separate apps. Instead, you can quickly build an app for a native device like iOS or Android.
Developers can now make apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, and other embedded systems using Flutter. Flutter’s desktop support also comes with plugins that work on different devices.
The new update for Flutter and Dart has been launched, and its performance has gotten a lot better since its last release. With new platform support
, Flutter is ready to make apps for iOS, Android, Fuchsia, the web, and PC. Also, they are talking with Ubuntu about Linux apps, Microsoft’s Android Surface Duo, and Windows 10X, all of which will soon be available.
Some of the most important updates in Flutter are:
Getting smaller and taking longer
There are fewer jerky movements, and UTF-8 strings are handled more quickly.
Help With the mouse cursor
New gadgets like the Interactive reader pen
Zoom and move things around
Redesigned range tool and date picker
Adding Flutter to the current application made Pigeon a good fit.
Metal on iOS now has better support, and there are new Metal devices.
6. Internet Of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT)is one of the most important mobile app creation trends. When it comes to Android, these trends lead to many of the Android things that let developers build devices on top of known hardware systems like the Raspberry Pi. The best part is that coders don’t need to know anything about system design before they can start. Instead, they can use Android Studio and the Android SDK to make the apps.
When 5G comes out, it will be possible for more devices and internet traffic to be used. Some sources say that the 5th generation of wireless network technology will connect 1.5 billion devices around the world in the next few years. It is also said that by 2025, the number of IoT connections around the world will have tripled to 25 billion, and IoT income will have quadrupled to $1.1 trillion.
So, IoT will help in making smart parking lots, street lights, and traffic controls, as well as improving the hotel and manufacturing industries.
7. APM and EMM
The two most important parts of mobile business development are APM (Application Performance Management) and EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management). Most of the time, these technologies are used to make mobile apps run faster. As mobile app creation has become more popular in general, they have become the quality testers for mobile apps.
With the new trends, APM will show how an application works, measure data about the devices and operating systems that are being used, and keep an eye on user performance to see which application features are being used. As business infrastructure and application landscapes move to the cloud, APM will also provide powerful tools to watch how apps use resources, connect the data gathered with user insights, and adjust performance to fit business processes.
EMM will include mobile device management, app management, application wrapping and containerization, and a few parts of business file synchronization and sharing.
From a work-from-home perspective, EMM has grown a lot and is now looking into automating processes, improving workflow, making contact easier and smoother, and exchanging data.
8. Layout for Motion
The layout is what the makers use to control how the apps and widgets move. This tool is part of the Constraint Layout library, and Android 4.0 can use it. With these libraries, the team can quickly fill in all the gaps between the complicated motion handling and layout transitions. This is because these tools are known to have high-end and useful features.
Motion Layout is used by developers to make different layouts with animations that help users understand what’s going on with the app.
9. Technology for Beacons
Businesses are slowly starting to use Beacon technology more and more because it helps them uniquely target potential customers. Beacons are devices that send signals and connect to mobile devices in a certain area. The technology lets companies send messages about special deals, nearby hotels, and other things.
Beacon technology that changes from push marketing to opt-in marketing is useful in a lot of fields. The technology can be used both in the cloud and in the real world. This is helping it gain popularity and grow in the coming years.
Businesses can connect with their users in a very relevant way through beacon-based alerts. In 2021, the beacon technology trend will include beacon-enabled airports and beacon-based mobile payments.
Some companies think that iBeacon and other marketing gadgets will grow quickly and be used a lot.
10. Android Business
The most important thing for businesses to do is to become more digital. The Android enterprise project, which is run by Google, helps workers use Android apps. The Android business program helps developers by giving them the APIs and other tools they need to add Android support to business mobility management solutions.
