About The Client

Our client from the Philippines has several nurseries and they were looking for an app through which you can store plant-related information such as their health, flowering cycle, and more.
The client also wanted a portal through which they could delegate tasks to one another and create a to-do list so that all the plants could be managed perfectly.

Business Context

Our client from the Philippines has 5+ nurseries and was looking for an app through which they can easily manage each nursery and also the plants available in them.

  • Developed an easy-to-use platform that can be easily managed by the workers and Nursery owners.
  • There were two panels, one user-side panel and the other admin-side panel. Each panel had different features.
  • Implemented QR-code functionality through which plants can be easily maintained.

Values
Delivered

  • Filled functionality according to the needs of the customer.
  • Added a responsive QR code functionality to make plant management easier.
  • A database to store information on the plants.

Solution Overview

While developing Plantifly we ensured that the app was fast to load and easy to use. The QR code functionality will generate QR codes for different plant breeds so that each of them can be managed accordingly.

Now let’s have a look at the project management strategy followed by us

To ensure timely delivery there was a dedicated Project manager assigned to the project who looked after the delivery and client communication.

  • Project Planning- The development process began with our team of BA looking into the project idea and listing all the important features that it should have to make life easier for the clients.
  • Development- Once all the important features were listed we began with the development. Following an agile development process our developers ensured to prioritize the requirements of the customer.
  • Project Stabilization. In this stage, our QAs took over the project and did checkpoint testing of the application ensuring that it ran smoothly.
  • Product Launch. At last once the QAs gave us the green flag we launched the app on the Play Store and App Store.

Features We Added In Plantifly

  • CSV Data Upload- Our clients can easily upload the data of all their plants in a CSV format instead of adding information one by one.
  • Manage Plants- The plants can be arranged serial-wise making it easier for the customer to quickly check them and manage them easily.
  • Plant Monitoring- There are two ways by which we can schedule a plant monitoring cycle which can be monthly or weekly. They can even create custom schedules as well.
  • Task Delegation- Workers can delegate tasks from one worker to another. However, the person to whom the task has been delegated can accept or reject the request.
  • Push Notifications- The app has a notification feature that reminds the workers of the tasks or when someone delegates a task to them. .
  • Date Wise Record- All the latest records and updates of plants are stored on date which makes it easier for the owner to track the record.
  • Insert Images- Workers can add images of plants to track their progress.
  • Zone Wise Task Delegation- Tasks can be delegated zone which means no worker can delegate tasks to a worker outside their zone.
  • Event Creation- Admin can create new events that can be modified as per their preference.

QR Code Functionalities

  • Insert Data- Every plant can have its unique QR code through which the workers can add details of their plants like the soil used, frequency of water to be added, and so on.
  • Enter Conditional Data- By scanning the QR workers can add data such as the condition of the top, middle, and the end part of the plant.
  • Create A To-Do List- By scanning the QR code you can create a to-do list of all the important things that need to be done for a particular plant. The to-do list can be rescheduled as per the user's preference.
  • Plant Experiments- If the user is conducting some sort of experiments on plants then they can mention that as well. For example, if someone has added new soil or fertilizer then they can mention that and track their progress.
